When embarking on checking the quality of a programme there are two distinct aspects to this. Firstly, one has to check the quality of the schedule from a perspective of best practices, the ability for the schedule to be impacted when events occur. PMIS have the experience to conduct this element of a quality check on your programmes.
Secondly, there is the interrogation of whether the logic within the schedule is valid and duration applied to the activities are doable. This part of the check must be undertaken by the company in-house rather than by a third party. The individual contractor organisation must always take ownership of their schedule and even if they outsource the services of the creation of a schedule it is their responsibility to own that schedule and in doing so the logic and dates therein.
